International Women’s Day
The International Women’s Day was celebrated with immense pride and enthusiasm at the Multi-Purpose Auditorium of the S.E.A Group of Institutions on 8th March 2025, Saturday, from 10:30 A.M. to 1:30 P.M. The event was thoughtfully organized by the Principals, staff members, and students of the institution, reflecting the collective spirit of empowerment.
The occasion was graced by the distinguished presence of Smt. Deepa M. Cholan, IAS Officer and Commissioner of the Directorate of Urban Land Transport (DULT), who served as the Chief Guest, along with Mr. Rizwan Arshad, MLA from Shivaji Nagar, representing the Indian National Congress. The event also featured renowned Guests of Honour, including Smt. Saalumarada Thimmakka, a celebrated Environmentalist and Padma Shri Awardee (2019), and Dr. Poonam Maurya, a distinguished Medical Oncologist at Apollo Hospitals, Bangalore.
The event was honoured by the esteemed presence of the management team, including Mr. D.T. Srinivasa, Member of the Legislative Council for the South East Teachers' Constituency and Secretary of the S.E.A Education Trust; Smt. K. Poornima Srinivasa, Ex-MLA, Hiriyur Constituency, CEO, S.E.A Education Trust; Smt. K. Anupama, Jt. Secretary & Treasurer, S.E.A Education Trust; and Ms. Vinisha S. Yadav, Vice President, S.E.A Education Trust.
The program commenced with the lighting of the lamp by all the distinguished dignitaries, symbolizing the start of a momentous occasion. Following this, a series of inspiring speeches were delivered by the various dignitaries, each emphasizing the importance of women's empowerment and achievement. Several women achievers (Dr.Y.G.Parimala, Miss.Nithya R, Dr. R. Rajalakshmi, M. Neelavathy, Uma Y. G) from diverse fields were recognized and honoured for their remarkable contributions. The celebration continued with a vibrant display of cultural performances, showcasing the talent and creativity of the students. The event concluded with a heartfelt vote of thanks, expressing gratitude to all who made the occasion a success.
